Welcome to SSI Robotics!
We, David and Lydean, have been involved in FTC since 2008. Our four children started us on our journey into robotics. Renee, our eldest child, graduated from Virginia Tech in the spring of 2017. Erik completed the curriculum from a welding trade school in Virginia Beach. Mary completed the first year of study at Lynchburg College. Laura completed the 10th grade. We are so very glad that they urged us to form a team. We are very proud of them! We hope every team will enjoy the 2017-2018 season.Welcome to FTC 2843!
Team 2843, Under the Son, was also started in 2008. There were four members on the team then. Three of the members graduated from high school. The last of the four, Laura, is still on the team and her friend Isa has been a part of the team for three years now. They are eagerly seeking more members. 2014) used the NXT and
Samantha units for control and
communication. PBv2 (created
in 2015) was introduced for the
Cell Phone and Modern
Robotics modules. PBv3
(created in 2016) used the same
electronics as PBv2, but had a
lower center of gravity. PBv4 is
being created in 2017 for the
Rev Robotics Expansion hub.
